Rooted in giving back to our community & treating our pets along the way.
How did we get here?
While volunteering at a fundraising event for Child Help Knoxville in 2021, I started a conversation with my husband, Billy (owner of Kennedy Grill food truck), celebrating our volunteer efforts but also recognizing ways we could improve our drive to giving back to our community. Like it was meant to be, Stephanie from Child Help popped in and out came the idea for selling hot chocolate and dog treats at next year’s event. And so the start to add a little extra goodness to warm the souls enjoying the holiday lights at Farragut Park began.
Because we care.
We started Kennedy Animal Treats to raise money for Child Help Knoxville, Faith-N-Friends, Union County Animal Shelter and Sevier Heights Baptist Church Adoption Program. Our goal is to be known as the Treat That Keeps on Giving because we so desperately want to make a difference in a child’s life — so they know they are loved and kind people do exist.
Here we are, today, with Kennedy Animal Treats officially open for business, taking orders and welcoming all of you to treat your pets while giving back.
& we’d love to tell you more!
Growing up on a 150-acre farm in Kentucky with horses made me feel free and kickstarted my passion for animals. Two years ago, we adopted Winston — our very loving, caring & cuddly four-legged fur baby — from Union County Human Society and then adopted Carson — our very protective & loving pup — from Young Williams. Let’s not forget our cat, Angel — whose name is quite deceiving. She rules over our pups.
Needless to say, our passion runs in our family: My daughter Meghan adopted Mustang — a wonderful horse from Faith-N-Friends — from Nevada. Don’t be surprised if this list keeps growing. :)
